Nike Basketball has strong ties to New York City. Two of its major athletes, Jalen Brunson and Sabrina Ionescu, are key parts of the metropolis’ most popular franchises of the NBA and WNBA respectively. The former just celebrated his ties to the city by creating a special “Statue of Liberty” take on the Kobe 6 Protro.
Now, Ionescu has her own statue-themed pair dropping. A Nike Sabrina 3 “Statue of Liberty” has just been revealed by the Swoosh. This take on the theme sees a “Mint Foam” upper pair with black Swooshes on each side of the shoe, matching the heel’s “i” logo. Meanwhile, a “Metallic Gold” version of Ionescu’s “S” logo is present at the tongue. Per usual, the sneaker comes equipped with key performance tech, from a sturdy cable system to Cushlon 3.0 foam at the midsole.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet disclosed when this “Statue of Liberty”-themed take on the Sabrina 3 will be dropping.
