New Balance x Dover Street Market has arrived with a running-focused collection that will have your next run covered head-to-toe.

The collection is led by an exclusive New Balance SC Elite V5, a lightweight model that features a carbon fiber plate and an “ultra-responsive “PEBA midsole. Joining the deep purple-hued SC Elite V5 is a range of athletic apparel, including the Race Day Ultra Light T-shirt, a panelled windbreaker, and high-cut split shorts. ⁠

New Balance calls the SC Elite V5 its most advanced race-day shoe, omitting its signature overlays and excess bulk for a lighter feel on the feet and aerodynamic performance. Furthermore, the breathable mesh upper is ideal for keeping cool mid-race, while the 1.7mm thick outsole material is designed for superior traction across various surfaces.

The American footwear label and the Comme des Garçons-affiliated retailer have been partnering on exclusive releases for years, with a pointed focus on the UK. In 2025, the two refreshed the 991v2 MADE in UK model with all-black Nubuck leather overlays on the mesh uppers, and similarly in 2024, the 991v2 sneaker was rendered with dual-toned midsoles for the London Marathon. Earlier in 2022, the New Balance Made in U.K. 991, produced in Flimby, Cumbria, was exclusively offered at Dover Street Market. The new DSM SC Elite V5 only takes the design-meets-performance theme to the next level, focusing on New Balance’s self-proclaimed best running shoe and updating it with its CDG-coded minimalist aesthetic.
