Nike is officially resurrecting a highly coveted mid-2000s relic with the upcoming return of the Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic”. The upcoming lifestyle release pays direct homage to the leader of Marvel‘s First Family, Reed Richards, marking the first time the theme will be retroed in over two decades.
The iconic running silhouette mirrors the signature uniform tones worn by the fictional superhero squad. The upper’s design is heavily defined by a rich Harbor Blue shade that flows across the mesh base layer and corresponding premium leather overlays. To break up the deep blue arrangement, crisp white detailing accents the leather portions of the upper, the interior collar lining, and the classic foam midsole setup.
Further contrast is introduced via striking Military Blue accents distributed across key structural components of the shoe, such as the plastic eyelets and heel tab. This combination perfectly preserves the look of the original 2006 drop, honoring Tinker Hatfield’s legendary 1990 architecture while maintaining its distinct comic book character roots.
