Jordan Brand is preparing the Spizike Low Utility in “Spruce Fog,” the first Utility-oriented take on the hybrid silhouette, adapting its familiar shape for wetter winter conditions through a more protective material build. Dressed in “Spruce Fog,” “Black,” “Reflect Silver” and “Newsprint,” the sneaker centers on a muted sage-grey ballistic nylon upper, its fine ripstop-like grid lending the surface a tougher, more technical finish than the suede and leather typically associated with the model. Tonal Spruce Fog overlays and molded eyelet components keep the upper subdued, while black takes over the side netting, structural wings, lining and reflective-flecked laces for a sharper contrast. A glossy black lace lock and subtle reflective touches add small flashes of shine against the otherwise matte, utilitarian palette.
The most significant update to the model lies in its advanced material composition. Moving away from the traditional suede and leather normally used on the shoe, the upper is now constructed largely from durable ballistic nylon. To further fortify the footwear against the elements, the standard mudguard has been replaced by a robust, rubber-like shield along the bottom. This protective wrap specifically targets areas most exposed to rain, slush, and wet pavement, upgrading the sneaker’s weather resistance without sacrificing its recognizable shape.
