adidas Originals continues to expand its “A-ZX” series with its latest sneaker, the ZX 6000 “X-Ray Inside Out.” Standing in the “X” in the ongoing series, this sneaker features a unique exterior treatment that sees interior components placed on the outside, and exterior elements reworked to look inversed.

The “Clear Brown/Chalk White/Sand” sneaker sports a whole host of different materials throughout its design, ranging from smooth suede to roughly-cut sponge, transparent overlays, rubber, and more. Starting at the toe, you’ll find a transparent overlay lined with sponge edges that are meant to represent the interior liner, while on the toe box adidas Originals has printed on the outsole’s pattern — which also finds itself decorating the insole.

As you continue along the sneaker, transparent overlays sit on top a raw mid-section that displays the shoe’s signature Three Stripes, while more of the clear plastic can be seen housing the eyestay placket. A plastically gray-toned rubber has then been used for the collar and the tongue, where on the latter you’ll spot a fuzzy inside out adidas Trefoil logo.

The interior of the shoe’s heel now finds itself placed on the exterior of the ZX 6000, complete with hole punches, zig-zag stitching and a raw sponge edge. This is accompanied by a dark ZX heel cage, and sits on top of the “Sand” Torsion-equipped midsole.

Take a look at the adidas Originals ZX 6000 “X-Ray Inside Out” above, and head over to retailers such as atmos Tokyo to be in with a chance of securing a pair when they drop on December 4. The shoes are priced at ¥ 17,600 JPY (approx. $169 USD).
