New Balance and District Vision have joined forces for another season, presenting a refined collaborative take on the FuelCell SC Elite v5 high-performance footwear. Optimized for endurance and designed for racing, the shoe is engineered with FuelCell technology to deliver exceptional energy return, reducing weight while heightening propulsion efficiency.
Central to its design is a full-length carbon fiber plate, enhancing stride economy across long distances, complemented by a sculpted geometry for a stable, forward-driving ride. Rendered in Bone and Pearl Grey, the engineered knit upper ensures both breathability and targeted support.
The design is accented with subtle yet meaningful details, including a red contrast stitch at the heel that pays homage to traditional Japanese finishing methods used in District Vision’s eyewear production. Clarino suede accents grace the lateral “N” and tongue, reinforced with red bar tacks for added durability and texture. Each pair also includes a removable co-branded coin medallion, echoing a Japanese good-luck token given to District Vision co-founder Tom Daly prior to the 2014 Honolulu Marathon.
