HOKA ONE ONE has pushed the boundaries of its Carbon X line with a new and improved Carbon X 2.

The new rendition combines HOKA’s signature max-cushioning and an adaptable fit for endurance racing. The shoe is outfitted with re-engineered single-layered mesh and lighter foam, while still providing ample anatomical Achilles support. Right out the gate, HOKA’s patent-pending, carbon fiber plate delivers smoother transitions with every stride.

The PROFLY™ midsole and Metarocker sole continue to elevate the cushioning base of the shoe for softer landings and explosive take-offs. HOKA’s innovative lightweight durability construction using rubberized EVA outsoles, adds to the responsiveness for shoe-to-surface contact and makes training feasible under all and any weather conditions. The refined collar shape, gusseted tongue, and re-worked mesh enhance stability, comfort, and breathability.

HOKA fans can choose between four colorways. The Carbon X 2 puts a vibrant spin on the classic white trainer, complete with a show-stopping neon yellow sole. The ‘Diva Blue/Citrus’ splits between a deep-sea blue upper and a white and lemon yellow sole. The ‘Fiesta/White’ is a minimal silhouette with a bold orange upper, matching with a pronounced white sole. For the more understated runner, the CARBON X 2 also comes in ‘Dark Shadow’, a deep ash-like gray, with slight accents in ‘Fiesta’ orange on the branding seen on the mesh upper of the shoe.

Priced at $180 USD, the shoe is now available for pre-sale on HOKA ONE ONE, with a release date on January 1, 2021.
