Jordan Brand is looking back to a memorable figure in any athlete’s life — their first coach — on a new “To My First Coach” collection of Air Jordan 1s. Consisting of an Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT and an Air Jordan 1 Low, the offerings are a colorful tribute to coaches everywhere, complete with plenty of special details.
Each pair uses the same pastel-accented palette, but differs in its color placement. The AJ1 High Zoom CMFT opts for a coral mudguard plus a light blue heel and collar flaps, while the AJ1 Low looks instead to a blue mudguard and coral heel detailing. The former also opts for a cut-out Swoosh while the latter offers a standard leather Swoosh. Apart from these differences, each supplies a uniform white leather quarter panel, forefoot overlay and toebox plus soft yellow eyestays.
The CMFT boasts a high-cut exposed mesh collar with detached blue flaps, while the Low uses a tightly-woven ballistic mesh collar and simple tongue. Air Jordan ball-and-wings logos appear on the collar flaps (CMFT) or heel (Low), and each pair is completed by a special hangtag that reads “To My First Coach” on one side and “Thanks” on the other.
As you may have guessed from their holiday-themed color schemes, the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT and Air Jordan 1 Low “To My First Coach” are both reportedly set to release around Easter. However, this has yet to be confirmed by Nike.
