Fresh from the release of its “Bright Mango” ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% sneakers earlier this year, Nike Running‘s hotly-debated super shoe has been given a fresh “White Cyber” makeover.
After Kenyan marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge set a new world record of 2 hours 1 minute and 39 seconds at the Berlin Marathon in 2018, before his compatriot Brigid Kosgei smashed the women’s world record the following year, concerns were raised regarding the technology — namely the carbon fibre plates and the oversized midsole — involved in Nike’s NEXT% sneakers. However, following countless debates and investigations from World Athletics, the sneaker passed IAAF guidelines.
Now though, as we head towards the end of 2020, Nike’s dresses its ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% in a clean white base, beneath a cyber, black and racer blue color scheme. With its white gridded upper and blue swoosh logo, detailing dons yellow accents and a black rubber outsole.
While the exact release date of the Nike “White Cyber” ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% is unknown, it’s expected they’ll launch in the new year on the Nike webstore.
