adidas Originals and atmos revisit the long-running Tobacco silhouette with the TOBACCO atmos “KOYO,” a two-color collaboration inspired by kōyō — Japan’s seasonal display of changing autumn leaves. The project follows the partners’ 2025 “Nenrin” edition, which referenced the growth rings of an aged tree; this chapter imagines that same natural motif progressing into autumn.
One pair takes on a deep navy waterproof leather upper with vivid yellow velour Three Stripes, creating a sharp contrast intended to recall golden ginkgo leaves against the subdued tones of late autumn. The second opts for a warmer brown leather base accented by reddish-orange velour stripes, evoking sunlit foliage and the deeper rust tones of an autumn forest. Across both, the Tobacco’s low-profile, retro shape and dark tonal sole keep the construction grounded, while the plush velour branding adds a richer, softly reflective texture against the smoother leather upper.
Both models upgrade the classic silhouette with functional waterproof leather uppers, seamlessly blending retro aesthetics with practical, all-weather durability.
