Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 1 Low is preparing for the change of seasons with a new corduroy-coated makeup. A women’s style with a neutral, earthy color scheme, interesting textures, bold details and an extended size run, this low-cut Air Jordan 1 follows in the footsteps of other recent makeups that used alternate materials like the sustainable Air Jordan 1 Low Crater or the rugged Air Jordan 1 Low “Denim.”
The ridged material that gives this Air Jordan 1 Low its name can be seen on toeboxes, quarters and tongues, and features an ever-so-slight pink/tan shade. Sturdy, wheat-colored suede serves up both color and material contrast on the mudguards, eyestays, collars, heels and Swooshes. The Swoosh isn’t the only piece of branding, though: touches of spicy red appear on the heel’s OG Air Jordan ball-and-wings logo, the tongue’s Jumpman logo and Michael Jordan‘s #23 hit on the lace keeper, providing just a dash of “Mars Yard”-esque Tom Sachs flair. White midsoles and boot-like wheat outsoles round off the look.
Look for this corduroy-coated Air Jordan 1 Low to release via Nike SNKRS China on September 15. A US drop will likely follow in the coming weeks.
